Abstract


The teacher's ability to manage learning interactions in the classroom or referred to as teacher
pedagogic competence will be the strategic key to the success of the learning process. This
study aims to describe the pedagogic competencies of teachers in creating a literacy culture.
This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. The results of this study are that
the teachers of SD Negeri Jatirangga II Bekasi apply aspects of pedagogic competence in
learning activities, namely mastering the characteristics of students, mastering learning
theories and educational principles of learning, curriculum development, educational learning
activities, developing student potential, communicating with students. , assessment and
evaluation. From these activities it makes students who like to read, fluent in reading,
students who are able to understand information from reading, able to write more neatly and
fluently, not lazy to write and increase students' knowledge.
