Abstract

All of school and college in almost every country affected by Covid-19 has implemented a
learning from home or distance learning (PJJ) policy. With the PJJ it is possible to do
distance learning without being tied to distance. In this learning method (PJJ) parents have a
role, namely, must prepare supporting facilities and infrastructure, ensure students are ready
to take part in learning, encourage children to be active during the learning process, and
ensure children do assignments every day. But in fact there are still some obstacles that can
hinder the distance learning process, one of which is the ICT literacy of parents. Therefore,
this article was created to analyze parental information and communication technology (ICT)
literacy as the key and support for the implementation of PJJ during the Covid-19 pandemic
using qualitative phenomenological methods. Data collection techniques in this study using
observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it is known that
the ICT literacy of parents has a major influence on the learning outcomes achieved by
students, especially for parents who do work from home (WFH). Thus, parents need to
improve their ability in information and communication technology literacy to help children
