Abstract


Literacy plays an important role in developing students' thinking processes, analyzing
problems, honing creativity and imagination. Mastery of literacy will make students able to
adapt to technological advances and the development of an increasingly rapid era. This will be
carried out optimally if there is a synergy between teachers and students. This study aims to
explain the role of students practicing field experience (PPL) at Esa Unggul University in
strengthening digital literacy at SDN Kebon Jeruk 06 West Jakarta. This type of research is
qualitative using a descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out by
observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study explain that the role of PPL
students in digital strengthening in high grades is related to how to use the internet wisely, find
the right information, respond to news spread in cyberspace, and how to use social media
properly. These things are adjusted to the learning materials in class. While in the lower class
the role of students is focused on the use of technology-based learning media so that the teaching
and learning process becomes more interesting.
