MOTIVASI MENJADI GURU (Sebuah Refleksi)

Abstract


Motivation is the desire from within a person to carry out activities so that there is an urge to
work hard and enthusiastically to achieve performance. Motivation is the driving force that
creates morale. The progress of human civilization, society, nation, and state requires teachers
as agents of change. However, most people view teachers as "teachers". The teaching profession
is often regarded as a choice that is not proud. In fact, it becomes a last resort if other options
cannot be achieved. In fact, teachers are agents of change for the lives of the nation's children.
So prospective teachers and educators need to develop themselves professionally, especially
reflecting on the values of choice and professional decisions to become a teacher. The
purpose of this research is to know the factors that make someone become a teacher. This study
used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques are carried out through the
distribution of questionnaires in the network. The research subjects were teachers at an
elementary school in the Cipondoh area. Data analysis was carried out by describing the
research indicators. The results of the study suggest that there are strong reasons for the
respondents to encourage their choice to become a teacher.
