Abstract


Teachers are an important role in the quality of education in Indonesia as one of the important factors to determine the success or failure of a learning process that is adjusted to the curriculum as one of the falicities and infrastructure, The purpose of this is study is to obtain exposure form the results of studies related to the development of the teaching profession,the improvement of teacher abilities, as a result of the development of the teaching profession on the capacity of teachers. In the study, this research focuses on several aspects to influence teacher performance and there are several aspects related to the improvement of the teaching profession. This research is a quantitative research using survey method. Techniques in data collection using a questionnaire. There were several respondents in this observation using regular teachers at SMPN 238 in the city/regency of south Jakarta with a total of 20 teachers. The technique of analyzing the data is by the relationship between one independent variable and the dependent variable. Based on the results in this study that : (1) the results of teacher professional development in grouping data can be said to be quite ef etive, and the skills of theachers developed can be high, and (2) increasing teacher skills can have a positive impact on theacher improvment.
