Abstract


In an ef ort to improve the quality of education, teacher competence is one of the most important development factors. The teacher's competencies include pedagogical competence, personal competence, social competence and professional competence. Ef orts to improve teacher competence can be made through optimization, a brief description of education is a friendly one for all children, with an education service system that requires children with special needs to study in nearby schools in the classroom with friends their age. Children with special needs are children who have dif erent physical and mental limitations than other children. This dif erence makes children with special needs more often looked at by the public, so they are dif erent from normal children. Another case with children with special needs in outer schools who can lead a life like other normal children. They have life skills like normal children, the life skills that children with special needs have make them acceptable to society. The study uses socialization theory as the primary mentoring model internalized by teachers and parents toward children with special needs. The purpose of this study is to find out the mentoring model of children with special needs in Indonesia. KEYWORDS: Pedagogical Competency Development, Children's special need
