PEMANFAATAN MEDIA PODCAST DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MENYIMAK BAGI SISWA KELAS IV DI SDN KEBON JERUK 06 JAKARTA BARAT
Abstract
Audio podcasts can be a new innovation for learning development, especially in elementary
schools (SD). Teachers can use audio podcasts as a tool in practicing Indonesian language
skills, especially listening skills. This study aims to explain the use of audio podcasts in
listening learning in class IV SDN Kebon Jeruk 06 West Jakarta. This type of research is
qualitative using descriptive method. Data collection techniques using interviews,
observation, and documentation. Respondents in this study amounted to 18 students. The
results showed that audio podcasts can be used as a medium for learning students' listening
skills. Besides being interesting, students become more focused on listening to the material
being explained. This affects the results of a good listening test. Constraints faced by students
relate to the process of interpreting the listening material because it is only in the form of
audio. Through listening learning activities using podcast media, students can hone their
memory by telling what they have heard and train students' level of focus in listening to the
material.
