Abstract


In this increasingly advanced era, teachers are required to continuously update their knowledge in order toremain competitive in the era of globalization. A good active teacher, of course, students will imitate him, because the teacher is a role model for his students. Through the inquiry approach, it is hoped that it canimprove students' abilities and skills, because the inquiry approach can be said to be very much neededinfacing the challenges of the 21st century. The inquiry approach includes various aspects and dimensions as areference in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the implications and barriers of the inquiryapproach at SDN Cakung Barat 15. The method used in this research is qualitative research with descriptivetechnique. This research is expected to find out the development of science learning by using an inquiryapproach to fourth graders at SDN Cakung Barat 15. The results show that the learning innovations carriedout at SDN Cakung Barat 15 have not fully worked as expected, because students are still passive and learningmethods What is being done is still verbalism at SDN Cakung Barat 15.
